Military Mulls Buying Hundreds of Armed Sea Drones: Report. The Taiwanese military is reportedly
considering purchasing hundreds of armed sea drones to prepare for a potential
Chinese invasion.

Settlers Unacceptable.
: Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko said the violence by extremist
Israeli settlers, is ‘absolutely unacceptable’.

3. Russian Military Cargo Plane Crashes with 15
People on Board. Russia said one
of its Ilyushin Il-76 military cargo planes crashed shortly after takeoff with
15 people on board due to a fire in one of its engines.

Paramilitaries Claim Incursion into Russia from Ukraine. Pro-Ukrainian
militias claim they have crossed into Russian border regions and launched
attacks, while Russia insists it beat back the raids, staged three days before
it holds a presidential election.

5. Protests in India over Implementation of
Citizenship Law Excluding Muslims. Protests have erupted in India following the announcement of a government
plan to enact a controversial citizenship law, Citizenship Amendment Act, that

Troops Begin Maldives Pullout after Quit Order. India has begun withdrawing military personnel
operating surveillance aircraft in the Maldives after the new pro-China
president ordered them to leave, local media reported.
7. India’s
Homemade Tejas Fighter Jet Crashes in Rajasthan. Tejas, a domestically
made fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force, crashed in the western state of
Rajasthan, the first such incident since the jet was inducted nearly eight
years ago. The pilot ejected safely, the Indian air force said in a statement.

8. Thousands Stranded as Traffic Halted on
Srinagar-Jammu Highway. Thousands of people have been left stranded after
authorities halted the traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway, the only surface
link connecting the occupied Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world.
9. BBC Report Sheds Light on Challenges Faced by IIOJK
Journalists. The situation in
Kashmir, the BBC report said, a territory contested between India and Pakistan
for decades, remains precarious. Since the revocation of IIOJK’s special status
in 2019, press freedom has faced severe constraints under Narendra Modi’s

United Nations Security Council is set to meet about the renewal of the mandate

11. Afghan Foreign Ministry Has 38 Offices Abroad. The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir
Khan Muttaqi, at a gathering said that currently around 38 embassies and
political agencies of the Islamic Emirate are active in various countries.

12. First Aid Ship to Gaza Leaves Cyprus Port in Pilot
Project. A ship taking
almost 200 tons of food to Gaza left a port in Cyprus early in a pilot project
to open a new sea route for aid to a population on the brink of famine.
13. Qatar Says Israel, Hamas ‘Not Near a Deal’ on Gaza
Truce. Israel and Hamas are not close to a deal
on a cessation of hostilities in Gaza and releasing hostages, mediator Qatar
said, warning the situation remained “very complicated”.

14. Iran, Russia
and China Show Off Their Ships in Joint Naval Drill in Gulf of Oman. China,
Iran and Russia have begun a joint naval drill in the Gulf of Oman, a crucial
waterway near the mouth of the Arabian Gulf, officials said. Footage aired by
Chinese state television and a video released by the Russian navy showed the
ongoing drill, known as “Marine Security Belt 2024.”
15. Iran Urges Israel's Expulsion from UN Body over Palestinian Women's Rights Violations. Iran’s Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Ensiyeh Khazali has called upon the United Nations to remove Israel from the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) over the occupying regime’s decades-old atrocities against Palestinian women and violations of their rights.

Sindh IG's Help Against CTD SSP for 'Illegal' Detention. A Karachi-based trader, Chaudhary Abbasullah,
has sought police protection in a written complaint to Sindh Inspector General
of Police (IGP) Riffat Mukhtar, alleging that Counter Terrorism Department
(CTD) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Fida Hussain took him into custody
illegally for personal interests.
17. PN Recovers
Bodies of 10 Missing Fishermen. The
Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) and Pakistan Navy (PN) have recovered
10 of the 14 missing fishermen from the boat which sank last week, said a
statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb’s Application for Pakistani Citizenship Approved by
Federal Cabinet.
The federal cabinet has greenlit the application of Muhammad Aurangzeb, newly
appointed Finance Minister, to regain Pakistani citizenship, following a
recommendation from the interior ministry.

Leaders Decry Skyrocketing Gas Prices. Expressing condemnation of the over 220% increase in gas tariffs within
one year, business leaders have appealed to the newly-elected government and
the Special Investment Facilitation Council to take notice, review the

ensuring alternative fuel sources for the local industry.
