1.       Japan Expands Military Influence with Controlled Fighter Jet Export Strategy. The Japanese administration, under Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, is moving forward with a plan to sell advanced fighter jets to a select group of allied countries as part of an international collaboration, the Global Combat Air Program (GCAP), with the United Kingdom and Italy, aimed at developing high-tech military aircraft to replace aging fleets.

2.       North Korea will Reject Any Contact with Japan. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s powerful sister said Pyongyang would reject “any contact or negotiations” with Japan, just a day after she said Tokyo’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida had requested a summit with her brother.

3.       Russian Security Chiefs Blame Concert Attack on Ukraine, West. Top Russian security officials claimed that Ukraine and the West were partly responsible for the deadly concert hall outside of Moscow late last week, which saw camouflaged gunmen indiscriminately kill at least 139 people and dozens more.

4.       Zelenskyy Dismisses Head of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council.  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Oleksii Danilov from his post as the head of country's National Security and Defense Council.

5.       India’s Probe Finds Rogue Officials Involved in US Murder Plot: Report. India’s investigation into an attempted murder of a Sikh leader in New York, the US, has found that rogue operatives were involved in the plot, according to international news agency Bloomberg, headquartered in New York.

6.       UK Royal Navy Vessels Make Historic Visit to Chennai. The UK’s Littoral Response Group (LRG) reached Chennai as part of its deployment to the Indian Pacific region, marking a significant milestone in bilateral maritime cooperation.

7.       Two Kashmiris Arrested, Booked Under PSA in IIOJK. According to Kashmir Media Service, the detained persons have been identified as Danish Parvaiz and Abrar Ahmad Wani, both residents of Sumlar area in Bandipora district.

8.       Protests Erupt in Kashmir Valley against Anti-People Policies, Power Cuts. Protests erupted in Srinagar, Kupwara and Baramulla districts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the anti-people policies of the Modi-led Indian government in the territory.

9.       Taliban Spokesman: 24 Islamic Emirate Officials on UN Blacklist. Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews that the names of 24 officials of the Islamic Emirate are still on the United Nations and European Union blacklist.

10.      Pakistan 'Mapping' Resident Afghans Before Eviction Push. Pakistan is gathering data on Afghan migrants, including those legally resident in the country, ahead of a renewed eviction push slated to start after Eid, official sources told AFP.

11.      Arab League Seeks Implementation of UN Resolution Calling for Gaza Ceasefire. The Arab League and the Arab Parliament have welcomed the UN Security Council’s resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and called for its implementation.

12.      Hamas Urges End to Gaza Airdrops after 18 People Died Trying to Reach Food Packages. Hamas urged foreign nations to stop parachuting aid into war-torn Gaza after officials and humanitarians said 18 people died trying to reach food packages in the starving north.

13.      UN’s Gaza Resolution Sign of Israel’s Unprecedented Global Isolation: Hamas Chief Visiting Iran.  Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of Hamas, made the remarks after a meeting in Tehran with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and a day after the Security Council adopted its Gaza resolution.
