China praised Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for rejecting a foreign military base, viewing it as a testament to the strong national spirit and independence of the Bangladeshi people after she revealed she was offered assured re-election in exchange for allowing a foreign airbase, a proposal she declined to safeguard national sovereignty.

2.       Chinese Military Shows Off Rifle-Mounted Robot Dogs at Joint Exercise with Cambodia. China’s army has a new weapon in its arsenal: four-legged robot dogs with rifles mounted on their back, exhibited during its Golden Dragon training with Cambodia.

Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, stated that the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce reached an agreement with the Deputy Minister of Commerce of Pakistan for the one-year trial period for the movement of commercial trucks.

10.      Pakistan’s Full Spectrum Deterrence Capabilities Leave Indian Forces Feel Handicapped: Gen (R) Kidwai. Advisor to National Command Authority (NCA) and former Director General Strategic Plans Division (SPD), Lieutenant General (R) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai at a lecture to commemorate Youm-e-Takbeer here said that the Indian armed forces were feeling handicapped in the past few decades due to Pakistan’s full spectrum defence capabilities.

Federal minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal said here that the incumbent government was hopeful to inject some fresh momentum into projects that fall under China’s Belt and Road Initiative, as it tries to boost the country’s troubled economy.

With the prospect of reinstating party supremo Nawaz as the president, the ruling party had scheduled intra-party elections, coincidentally, the same day Pakistan conducted nuclear tests in 1998 during the PML-N's second term in government.
