1.       Philippine Military Chief Accuses China of 'Malign Influence Effort'. The Philippines' military chief accused China of a "malign influence effort", after a local newspaper reported a Filipino vice admiral had made a deal with Beijing to de-escalate tensions in the South China Sea.

2.       Australia Boosts Ties with Philippine Military as South China Sea Tensions Rise. Australia has agreed to boost its security cooperations with the United States, Japan and the Philippines, in response to China’s growing assertiveness in the South China Sea, reported Voice of America (VOA).

3.       Russia's Biggest Airstrike in Weeks Piles Pressure on Ukraine Power Grid. Russian missiles and drones struck nearly a dozen Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, causing serious damage at three Soviet-era thermal power plants and blackouts in multiple regions, officials said.

4.       UK to Expel Russian Defence Attache as Sanctions Escalate. Russia’s defence attache is an “undeclared military intelligence officer” who will be expelled from the UK amid an escalation of sanctions, the UK home secretary said.

5.       Allegations that BJP Allies Raped Hundreds of Women Rock Indian Politics. A member of parliament from a BJP ally in Karnataka, Prajwal Revanna, stands accused of perpetrating heinous crimes against women as Indian media reported that Revanna has been accused of sexually assaulting over 400 women.

7.       Afghan Policemen Killed in Blast During Mission to Eradicate Poppy Crops. Three policemen were killed and five others injured when a bomb exploded near a police convoy on a mission to destroy illegal poppy crops in Afghanistan’s northeastern Badakhshan region, the country’s Taliban rulers said.

8.       UN Agency: Gaza Not Receiving Aid. Israeli military manoeuvres and shelling continued in and around eastern Rafah in southern Gaza as UN humanitarians stressed that "no fuel or aid" is getting into the enclave.

12.      Several Lawyers Arrested, Three Cops Injured in Clashes outside LHC. As per details, lawyers in Lahore staged a protest outside the Lahore High Court against the transfer of civil courts to Model Town court however the protest turned violent when police tried to disperse the protesting lawyers.
